RE: Winter Storage Of Popup Tent Camper

I will be storing mine at a storage place. I have a 2008 Jayco 1207 and I do cover mine. When I was looking for a cover the only thing I was warned about was don't buy a cheap cover. I got a top of the line ADCO cover that breathes and repels mostiure. I throw dryer sheets and a damp rid bag in the camper everytime we tear down. Mind you the camper is completly dry everytime and the damp rid is for the hot and cold changes that we have in NH. This will be the first winter with the camper and this is what I plan to do.
1. Winterize
2. Take out all fliuds, cleaners, paper, and plastic materials
3. All bagged camping chairs
4. Wash floor and vac camper
5. Pull battery and propane tank
6. Cover trailer and tires
Good luck with everything. I hope to someday have a garage to store my trailer in so I can get away from the winterizing.

Roadtrip Games / Fun

Hello everyone I am not sure if this is the right fourm for this but what they heck here it goes. My wife, son, and mother-in-law are headed out thing coming Sunday night and heading down to my brother-in-laws Marine Graduation in SC. We live in NH so they are looking at about a 17-24 hour ride and they are not stopping other than to stretch and stuff like that. My son is 4 1/2 years old so I was hoping that there are some great ideas out there. Thanks alot everyone.

RE: Anyone hitching/unhitching pups themselves?

I always hitch and unhitch on my own. I use my rear mounted spare tire to aid the line up. Practice a few times and you will never need anyone else to help again.

RE: Question??

We would be getting the V8 in the Enovoy. So I think it would have plenty of power. I also just looked at a Trailblazer with a 6.0L V8 so power isnt a issue. Its saftey and the Yukon XL and suburban is just to big.

RE: Winterizing Question

My trailer has a baypass already in it from Jayco. I didn't mean fill the anti-freeze at the fresh water tank. I don't use that tank. I mean filling from where I hook up the water hose. Do I still fill the trap in the sink even with having a pop up? My sink flips over upside down.

Winterizing Question

So I am getting ready to winterize my 2008 Jayco 1207. I went to Home Depot and got some fittings to make a fitting so I can attach my compressor to my fresh water inlet on the trailer to clear my lines. So my question is this... Do I drain my hot water heater and leave the bypass open or closed? Also do I open all facets sink and outside shower before I put air to system? When I add anti-freeze can do I have to use the pump or can I just add it to the fresh water inlet and how do i know there is enough anti-freeze in the system? Thanks again everyone.

RE: E!Power tent/Eureka tent

I haven't tried it but it sure looks nice I want the big one even with having a camper. It may make me want to tent camp again sometime. I didn't think the price was too bad either. I would go for it.

RE: Bad Walmart Campers II

That has to be the funniest thing I have heard yet. When I saw it I called my wife and told her we were going camping she asked me where and I said Wal-Mart. She said we can't with the pop up. Then i said someone else is. Oh my what has wally-docking come too.

Question??

Ok everyone I am wondering about something. We are looking into up grading from our popup to TT. Also looking at trading my Suzuki in. This is my question. We are looking at getting a GMC Envoy with a V8 with a towing capasity of 6,600lbs and mating it with a 2009 Rockwood 2701SS TT that has a dry weight of 4,734lbs and is 32.5ft long am I going into a danger zone? We were also looking at a Tahoe or Yukon but DW likes the Envoy. Thanks.

RE: Tent too big??

you may not be able to afford the 6mpg but a pop up would do cheap money and you keep the mpg. as far as the tent goes if you can set it up inside you are all set. we have a pop up now but our tent we cant set up inside. good luck. i get almost 18mpg towing my pup.
